BUSHIN-KAN

Bushin-Kan Kyokushin Karate-do Sports Club is a martial arts club based in Kamianske, Ukraine, dedicated to the development of Kyokushin Karate and the cultivation of strong character, discipline, mutual respect, and perseverance.

The club is led by Head Instructor Roman Volodymyrovych Kashyra, a 3rd Dan black belt. He began practising Kyokushin Karate-do in 1990 and started his coaching career in 2005. Under his leadership, the club continues to develop Kyokushin traditions, prepare athletes for competitions, and educate the next generation of karate practitioners.

Bushin-Kan offers training for preschool children, school-age children, teenagers, young people, and adults. Classes are adapted to participants’ ages and experience levels, from beginners to advanced athletes. Special attention is given to children's physical development, independence, responsibility, and self-confidence.

The training programme includes kihon, kata, kumite, general and specialised physical conditioning, the study of traditional martial arts etiquette, and the fundamentals of traditional weapons. Students regularly take grading examinations for kyu and dan ranks, attend training camps, and participate in competitions at various levels.

The club's athletes compete in city, regional, Ukrainian national, European, and world tournaments, winning medals and representing Kamianske on the sporting stage. Bushin-Kan also organises sports and recreational camps in the Carpathian Mountains and on the Black Sea coast, combining karate training with outdoor activities, recreation, and team building.

Bushin-Kan is a community of athletes, instructors, and parents united by a common goal: to develop Kyokushin Karate-do, build strong character, and help every student progress confidently towards new achievements.
