Uncle Cat Budokan

Founded in January 2017, Uncle Cat Budokan (猫叔武道馆) was originally affiliated with Shanghai Meijia Fitness Club and operated under the name ADAMAS Safety Defense, Combat & Fitness Studio. Due to operational issues at Meijia Fitness Club, the Budokan became fully independent in October 2021.

The Budokan offers a range of martial arts, combat sports, and personal safety training programs, including full-contact karate, kickboxing (freestyle fighting), and Filipino stick fighting. It advocates an integrated approach that combines self-defense, physical fitness, and competitive development.

The founder, Song MinJie (Uncle Cat), has more than 20 years of experience in martial arts, combat sports, and personal safety training, including teaching experience and three years of professional security and protection-related work. He has achieved third place in the Asian Cup Open Karate Championships, reached the podium under two practical combat rules at the Second All-Japan Karate Championships, and earned one silver medal and five bronze medals at World Filipino Stick Fighting Championships.

He has been featured more than 20 times in martial arts, combat sports, police skills, and personal safety magazines and news media across Europe and the United States. He has also been inducted into an international martial arts hall of fame.

Uncle Cat Budokan currently collaborates with more than 50 overseas organizations specializing in martial arts, combat sports, personal safety, and law enforcement skills. These include the International Kyokushin Federation, International Police Confederation, European Police Council, World Police Tactical Combat Federation, World Krav Maga Organization, and International Martial Arts Association, among others.
