OKINAWA is a Kyokushin Karate club based in Dnipro, Ukraine, dedicated to developing martial arts skills, physical fitness, and strong character through full-contact karate.

The club is led by Sensei Mykhailo Biesieda, a Master of Sport of Ukraine in Kyokushin Karate, a 2nd Dan black belt holder, and a European Champion. He began training in karate in 1998 and started his coaching career in 2015. In 2019, he established the OKINAWA club, creating a place for athlete development and the promotion of Kyokushin Karate.

In 2011, Mykhailo Biesieda won the European Championship in Katowice, Poland, in the senior 40+ category over 85 kg. In 2021, he also won the European Kyokushin Karate Championship in Katowice and became Ukrainian Champion in the veterans' over-85 kg division.

The club's training programme includes kihon, kata, kumite, and general physical conditioning. Training develops strength, endurance, speed, coordination, discipline, and self-confidence. Particular emphasis is placed on respect for training partners, perseverance, and continuous improvement.

OKINAWA athletes compete at national and international tournaments. In 2025, the club's athletes won bronze medals at the European Championship in Warsaw. At the Ukrainian Championship on 4 April 2026, the team earned 4 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals. Since 2019, the coach's students have been selected for the Ukrainian national team and have represented the country at international competitions.

OKINAWA is affiliated with the Dnipro City Kyokushinkai Karate Federation, which is part of the National Federation of Kyokushin Karate of Ukraine (IKO).

OKINAWA is a place where Kyokushin Karate helps practitioners improve their physical abilities, strengthen their character, and develop the perseverance needed both in sport and in everyday life.
