IKO Headquarters Ikebukuro

IKO Headquarters Ikebukuro is the central headquarters of the International Karate Organization Kyokushinkaikan, located in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, Japan. It serves as the main center for the organization’s international activities, preserving the legacy of Sosai Masutatsu Oyama and promoting the development of Kyokushin Karate worldwide.

Under the leadership of Kancho Shokei Matsui, the headquarters coordinates the activities of affiliated branches, supports instructors and practitioners, and oversees major international events, championships and training seminars. It plays an important role in maintaining the technical standards, traditions and philosophy of Kyokushin Karate across the global organization.

The headquarters is closely connected with the training and development of karate practitioners, including instructor education, grading examinations and the promotion of traditional Kyokushin techniques. Its activities encompass kihon, kata and kumite, with a strong emphasis on full-contact fighting, discipline, perseverance and personal development.

As the central administrative and organizational hub of Kyokushinkaikan, IKO Headquarters Ikebukuro connects dojos and branch chiefs around the world, supporting the continued growth of Kyokushin Karate and preserving the principles established by Sosai Masutatsu Oyama.
