K.O.DOJO – Kyokushin Karate in Vienna
K.O.DOJO in Vienna was founded by Emanuel and Iuliia Lebo not as a business idea, but as the dojo where they themselves wanted to train. Today, the club represents full-contact Kyokushin Karate, quality instruction and a strong connection between tradition, competition and personal development.
Emanuel began training in Kyokushin Karate in 2001 and has trained at the dojo of Shihan Željko Mičaković since 2008. In 2015, he became European Champion and World Champion in Kumite in the same year. Iuliia came to Vienna from the renowned Russian Kyokushin school Kayman. She has trained for more than 20 years and has won medals at European and World Championships.
In 2018, Emanuel and Iuliia conducted their first training session together. What began with rented training spaces eventually became their own dojo with the support of their Shihan Jack. Since then, K.O.DOJO has grown into an active Kyokushin community for children, adults and competitors.
Training combines traditional Kyokushin Karate with modern full-contact practice. The programme includes children's classes from the age of four, adult Karate, Fighting, Kumite and competition preparation. The focus is on technical development, physical fitness, discipline, respect and self-confidence.
Together with their partner club in Tulln, Emanuel and Iuliia founded the Austrian Kyokushin Federation (AKF). Emanuel serves as its president, while Iuliia heads the Performance Sport Committee and works as a national team coach. K.O.DOJO is also affiliated with the International Federation of Karate (IFK).
K.O.DOJO stands for authentic full-contact Kyokushin Karate in Vienna – from the first training session to international competition.
