Nihonto

Nihonto Sports Club is a Kyokushin Karate club based in Varna, Bulgaria, led by Sensei Zahari Damyanov. The club focuses on the development of Kyokushin Karate, systematic physical and technical training, and the preparation of athletes capable of competing at the highest national and international levels.

Training is led by Zahari Damyanov, one of the most successful Bulgarian Kyokushin Karate competitors. In 2015 in Tokyo, Japan, he became the first Bulgarian and European to win the absolute World Championship title at the 11th Open World Championship without weight categories. His impressive competitive career also includes four All American Open titles and four European Championship titles, along with numerous international achievements.

Following his competitive career, Zahari Damyanov has continued to pass his experience on to the next generation of athletes. He is a coach of the Bulgarian national team under the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation, as well as Chairman and Chief Instructor of Nihonto Sports Club.

Training at the club is built around the foundations of Kyokushin Karate — kihon, kata, kumite, and physical conditioning — with an emphasis on discipline, endurance, mental strength, and continuous development. Damyanov’s experience as a World and European Champion brings a high level of competitive expertise to the training process.

Nihonto Sports Club combines tradition, high-level competitive experience, and a professional approach to training, making it an important part of the Kyokushin Karate community in Varna and Bulgaria.
