Akademia Karate Byakko

Myślenicka Akademia Karate Byakko is a Kyokushin Karate club offering professional training for children, teenagers and adults, from beginners to competitive athletes.

The club is led by founder and head instructor Sensei Marcin Sturgulewski, a 3rd Dan black belt and Master of Physical Education. He is a karate and boxing instructor, strength and conditioning coach, IKO Kyokushinkaikan referee and official IKO Dojo Operator. A multiple medalist at Polish and European championships, he has earned approximately 120 medals at national and international competitions. In 2025, he also served as a coach of the Polish junior national team.

Training includes kihon, kata, kumite and physical conditioning, developing strength, speed, endurance, coordination and fighting skills. Particular emphasis is placed on discipline, respect, courage, responsibility and continuous self-improvement.

Byakko athletes regularly compete in national and international tournaments, earning medals in both kumite and kata. The club offers training for beginners and experienced competitors, supporting individual progress and preparation for sporting challenges.

The academy also organizes special training events featuring recognized instructors. One of its notable initiatives is the Byakko International Masterclass, led by Sensei Alejandro Navarro, providing opportunities to develop skills and exchange experience with international karate practitioners.

Myślenicka Akademia Karate Byakko combines traditional Kyokushin values with a modern approach to sports training. Under the guidance of Sensei Marcin Sturgulewski, practitioners develop technical skills, physical fitness and fighting spirit while learning perseverance, self-control and respect both on and off the tatami.
