Leonov Dojo (Gymnasium 35)

Leonov Dojo in Almaty is a Kyokushin Karate club where training is led by Alexey Leonov, 4th Dan, an experienced Kazakhstani athlete and coach with an extensive international competition background.

Alexey Leonov has represented Kazakhstan at major national and international tournaments and achieved significant results throughout his competitive career. He is an absolute champion of Kazakhstan, champion of Russia, European Champion and two-time Asian Champion, as well as a multiple World Championship and World Cup medalist. His competitive career includes participation in major international tournaments in Japan and other countries.

Today, Alexey Leonov focuses on coaching and athlete development, passing his competitive experience and technical knowledge to practitioners and younger athletes. His training approach combines traditional Kyokushin Karate with structured physical and technical preparation.

Training includes kihon, kata, kumite, physical conditioning and competition preparation, with attention to technical development, fighting skills, endurance and progressive improvement.

Leonov Dojo welcomes practitioners with different levels of experience, from beginners discovering Kyokushin Karate to experienced athletes preparing for competitions. The training environment is focused on consistent development and practical application of Kyokushin Karate.

Located in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Leonov Dojo brings together regular Kyokushin Karate training and the experience of a coach whose sporting career includes national titles and major international achievements.
