SC “Yunak”

Sports Karate Club Yunak (SKK Yunak) is a Kyokushin Karate club based in Ruse, Bulgaria, led by coach Georgi Ivanov. The club promotes competitive karate and trains children and young athletes for participation in national and international tournaments.

The training programme focuses on developing technical skills, physical fitness, and fighting tactics, while building discipline, confidence, and resilience. Training combines the fundamentals of Kyokushin Karate with specialised exercises for kumite and practical competition preparation.

SKK Yunak has achieved notable results in children's competitions. In 2025, the team finished first in the medal standings at the Bulgarian National Championship for children aged up to 8 and 10, held in Varna, winning five gold, three silver, and three bronze medals. Club athlete Elitsa Todorova also received a special award for fighting spirit. In the same year, the club won additional medals at the national championship in Burgas.

Among the club's international achievements is the bronze medal won by Petya Stoyanova at the KWU World Championship for juniors and youth in 2022. These results reflect the athletes' consistent preparation and the dedication of the coaching team.

SKK Yunak continues to develop young Kyokushin Karate practitioners in Ruse, combining sporting ambition with the traditional values of Kyokushin: respect, perseverance, and the pursuit of continuous improvement.
