Dojo Spartiates Kyokushin

Dojo Spartiates Kyokushin is a Kyokushin Karate dojo located in Saint-Denis, Réunion, France. Founded in 1994, the club is led by Shihan Jean-Luc Védapodagom, a 5th Dan black belt, IKO Branch Chief for Réunion, and an experienced coach who has dedicated decades to the development of Kyokushin Karate and its athletes.

The dojo focuses on technical excellence, physical conditioning, and the fighting spirit that define Kyokushin Karate. Training develops striking techniques, kata, kumite, endurance, and mental resilience. The club provides a structured environment for practitioners at different stages of their karate journey, combining demanding preparation with the traditional values of discipline, respect, and perseverance.

Under Jean-Luc Védapodagom’s guidance, Réunion athletes have achieved notable results at French and international competitions. The club’s competitive experience includes European Championship team kata titles, with first place in Varna, Bulgaria, in 2022, and podium finishes at European events in 2018 and 2022. These achievements reflect the commitment of the athletes and the long-term work invested in their preparation.

Beyond regular dojo training, Jean-Luc Védapodagom contributes to the wider Kyokushin community as a regional representative and coach. The dojo is part of the IKO Kyokushinkaikan network and supports the development of karate practitioners through consistent training, competition, and the transmission of Kyokushin values.
