Fumetsu no Seishin is a Kyokushin Karate dojo based in Odesa, Ukraine. Its name means “Indomitable Spirit” and reflects the club’s commitment to developing technical skills, physical fitness, and strong character through systematic training and competition.
The dojo is led by Sensei Mykhailo Chernov, a 3rd Dan Kyokushin Karate practitioner. In 2026, he received a Letter of Appreciation from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine in recognition of his long-standing coaching work and contribution to the development of young athletes.
The training programme includes kihon, kata, kumite, and general physical conditioning. Athletes develop technique, strength, endurance, coordination, self-control, and fighting spirit while learning the values of discipline, respect, and perseverance.
Fumetsu no Seishin actively participates in Ukrainian national and open tournaments, regularly achieving podium finishes. At the Ukrainian Cup in Kyokushin Budo Karate in September 2026, 16 club athletes won 21 medals: 9 gold, 6 silver, and 6 bronze. At the 2026 Ukrainian Championship in Kyokushin Budo Karate, club representatives earned medals in both kumite and kata. Sensei Mykhailo Chernov also took third place in the men's kata category. At the 2025 Ookami-Kan Open Cup, the team finished second in the team standings for Kyokushin kumite.
The dojo also organises its own competitions. In November 2023, the Fumetsu Seishin Dojo tournament in Odesa brought together more than 100 young athletes from the Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions. Such events give karate practitioners valuable competition experience, an opportunity to test their skills, and a supportive environment for sporting development.
Fumetsu no Seishin is a team united by the pursuit of continuous improvement, indomitable spirit, and new sporting achievements.
