Wieliczka Kyokushin Karate Club was founded in 2009 by Shihan Robert Kopciowski (6th Dan). For this community, karate is far more than self-defense or sport—it is a lifelong way (Budo) dedicated to building character, mutual respect, and finding meaning in daily life.

The head instructor and club president is Sensei Krzysztof R. Kopciowski (4th Dan), who has been practicing karate since 2000. His journey includes years of hard training and continuously refining his skills as an instructor and referee at international seminars. His teaching focuses on passing down the authentic Budo spirit: discipline, technical precision, and pushing personal limits.

Training Philosophy
The Path of Humility: Striving for excellence is not about boosting one's ego. Hard training, sweat, and overcoming weaknesses shape a person who is physically strong, yet humble and helpful to others.

Community & Trust: Overcoming obstacles on the bumpy road of Budo requires partnership. Shared hardship builds lasting bonds, deep respect, and trust among training partners.

Continuous Growth: Instructors regularly upgrade their skills at prestigious international camps and seminars (such as Papendal in the Netherlands) to teach with passion and expertise.

Club Structure & Community
Classes are hosted at the main Dojo in Wieliczka (1 Demczuka St.) as well as across 4 local branches. Training is organized into 3 skill levels for seniors and 4 for juniors:

Over 100 Adult & Youth Members: Active seniors building physical fitness, mental resilience, and self-defense skills.

Large Children's Section: Young students learning discipline, motor skills, and confidence in a safe, supportive environment (more then 200).

Whether you are starting from scratch or returning to the mat, Wieliczka Kyokushin Karate Club offers a place to grow at every stage of the kyokushin way.

Osu! Join us at our main Dojo or one of our branch sections!
