Okami Dojo Asenovgrad

OKAMI Dojo is a Kyokushin Karate school based in Asenovgrad, Bulgaria, led by Petko Chirpanliev. The dojo has established itself as an active and successful part of the Bulgarian Kyokushin community, combining systematic training, competitive preparation, and the development of young athletes.

Training at OKAMI Dojo focuses on the fundamentals of Kyokushin Karate, including kihon, kata, kumite, physical conditioning, discipline, and practical fighting skills. The club welcomes athletes of different ages and levels, creating opportunities for beginners to develop a strong foundation and for experienced competitors to prepare for national and international events.

Under the guidance of Petko Chirpanliev, the dojo has achieved notable results in competition. In 2023, OKAMI Dojo athletes won 154 medals, including 57 gold medals, while six club athletes were selected for the Bulgarian national team and competed at World, European, and international events. In 2024, the club's athletes continued their strong performances, earning 126 medals, including 45 gold medals, as well as European and Balkan titles. The dojo has also achieved success in team competitions, including winning the Shumen Cup team ranking.

Petko Chirpanliev has been recognized for his contribution to the development of sport and Kyokushin Karate in Asenovgrad. In 2023, he was named Coach of the Year in Asenovgrad, and in 2026 he received the official title of Honored Coach from the Bulgarian Federation of Kyokushin.
