Sporto klubas „Okinava“ is one of the well-known Kyokushin Karate clubs in Western Lithuania, operating since 1996. The club is active in Klaipėda, Gargždai, and Palanga, bringing together around 300 members. Over the years, „Okinava“ has grown into a strong martial arts community where Kyokushin Karate training is combined with physical development, character building, and the values of martial arts.

Since 2011, the club has been led by Diana Mačiūtė, 5th Dan, a World, European, and Lithuanian Champion and a coach of the Lithuanian national team. Her competitive career began in 1992, while she has been working as a coach since 1998. Diana Mačiūtė also holds an international Category A judging license and is a member of the Presidium of the Lithuanian Kyokushin Karate Federation. For her work, she has been recognized several times as Coach of the Year in Klaipėda and by the Lithuanian Kyokushin Karate Federation.

The history of „Okinava“ spans more than 25 years, during which the club has trained over 5,000 students and won more than 2,000 trophies. Its athletes regularly compete at Lithuanian, European, and World Championships, achieving strong results in both kumite and kata. Recent achievements include medals at the 2025 and 2026 European Championships, including gold in the team kata event at the 2026 European Championship.

„Okinava“ offers training for children from the age of four, teenagers, and adults, and also organizes training camps, seminars, grading examinations, and karate competitions. The club's activities focus not only on athletic development but also on building self-discipline, responsibility, emotional stability, and respect. With its long history, strong community, and outstanding competitive results, Sporto klubas „Okinava“ remains an important part of the Kyokushin Karate community in Lithuania.
