WKB Honbu Dojo

Pedro Roiz Dojo in Lorca, Spain, is a historic Kyokushin Karate dojo founded and led by Kancho Pedro Fernández Roiz. With a history in Lorca dating back to 1980, the dojo has played an important role in the development of Kyokushin Karate in Spain and in the preparation of generations of athletes and instructors.

Kancho Pedro Roiz began his martial arts journey in the 1970s and developed his career through competition, teaching, coaching, judging, and the organization of major Kyokushin events. After moving to Lorca, he dedicated himself to teaching and developing his students, many of whom went on to achieve success at national and international competitions. Over the years, his dojo became a reference point for Kyokushin Karate in Spain and a training base for practitioners from different countries.

Pedro Roiz has also made a significant contribution to the competitive development of Kyokushin. In 1982, he founded the Open Ciudad del Sol, one of the oldest Kyokushin open tournaments in Spain, which continues to be held in Lorca today. He has organized numerous national, European, and international events, including major WKB championships.

Today, Kancho Pedro Roiz is the Founder and President of the World Kyokushin Budokai (WKB) and holds the rank of 9th Dan. He is recognized for his extensive contribution to the development and promotion of Kyokushin Karate, as well as for his experience in international knockdown judging and athlete development. Under his leadership, WKB has expanded its network across Europe, Asia, and South America.

The dojo in Lorca represents decades of Kyokushin tradition, teaching experience, competition, and international connections, making it an important part of Pedro Roiz's legacy and the wider Kyokushin community.
